Pinot Gris, Riesling, Silvaner
The 2020 TryO by Vincent Gross is not only an excellent wine, but also a play on words. Try O also stands for: Try O means Orange and at the same time it is a trio of three grapes: Sylvaner, Riesling and Pinot Gris. The hand-picked grapes are carefully sorted, destemmed and then macerated for 20 days. Fermentation takes place naturally with native yeasts. This is followed by a 10-month aging in Foudre (very large wooden barrels). No additives or sulphites are used. The maceration of the whole grapes gives TryO an orange color, the taste is very expressive with floral notes and ripe fruits and is surrounded by a nice acidity frame. Absolutely tasty, absolutely GlouGlou!
