70% Frappato, 30% Nero d'Avola

Transparent red-violet in colour, with aromas of black cherry, strawberry, lavender and smoky minerality. Pomegranate, strawberry, black cherry, red currant, trace of wild marigold and a shake of white pepper are framed by tangy acidity and silky black tea tannins. Cranberry, fig and a trace of bergamot infuse the finish. Graceful, sleek and fresh.

The two varietals are native to Sicily and are grown on red sand soils over limestone rock, with vines averaging 15 years old on four different sites. The vines are organically farmed and hand-harvested. The wine is named "SP68" for the road near Arianna's home vineyard in Vittoria.
