100% Primitivo (Zinfandel) 

This Primitivo is low alcohol, has tons of drinkability and freshness, along with the characteristic structure and fruity charm. Tastes like strawberries and cold rainier cherries. An easy, lightly-acidic red to pair with pizza night. 

Harvest is early compared to the traditional approach. The grapes are picked by hand, destemmed and crushed, followed by a short maceration time of just a day with frequent punch downs. It is then pressed and moved to stainless steel tanks for fermentation and maturing for 8 months until bottling.

Masseria La Cattiva was formed by a group of friends – Leonardo, Alfredo, Paolo, Michele, Loreto, Manfredi, and Marianna – in love with natural wine and natural fermentations. Masseria La Cattiva is located in Sammichele di Bari, Apulia Region, Southern Italy, and used to be a cow rearing facility, though it is surrounded by vineyards. At La Cattiva, everything is done by hand, the only products used in the vineyards are sulfur and copper. Vinification follows a rigorous low-interventionist approach.
