'Praja' Monica di Sardegna 2020
Dry, gently tannic and rustic with undeniably earthy notes. Brambly wild blackberry and dark cherry fruit backed with a barnyardy funk and subtle pipe tobacco finish. Best drunk lightly chilled as an aperitivo or with lighter meals.
Monica is found nearly exclusively in Sardinia, though it’s thought to have Spanish origins as the medieval kingdom of Aragon ruled over the island for centuries. The vineyard source of this Monica is in the Ogliastra region of Sardinia, the most mountainous and remote section of the island.
