The Mibal Ribera del Duero Joven is fermented in a conical, steel fermenter, which allows for a natural extraction and softer tannins. This wine sees zero oak usage and the result is an incredibly fresh wine with pure, concentrated, dark fruit of blackberries, ripe blueberries, and savory earth. This wine is made for your next backyard BBQ of pork ribs and burgers.

Third-generation grape growers, Miguel Hornillos and Javier Ballesteros, own a combined 40 hectares in the surrounding areas of Roa and Burgos in the Ribera del Duero DO. Becoming faithful students of their parcels, the majority of their production is sold to top estates including Pago de los Cappellanes and Alion. After setting aside 10-15% of their harvest, they hand craft wines on the side of the road in a humble garage winery or "garagiste."
