100% Gamay

This is a blend of Gamay from two parcels planted over granite in and around Saint-Amour in the region’s North. Wonderfully open and generous, with notes of black fruits and an intense, stony minerality. 

Julie Balagny is part of a new generation of young winemakers flying the flag for the Beaujolais region. Having fallen in love with Gamay, she cultivates 3.2 hectares in Fleurie, 1 hectare in Beaujolais and 7,000 square metres in Moulin-à-Vent. Julie learned winemaking at Château de Rey, then domain Terre des Chardons before settling in Fleurie in 2009. Her wines are recognized in the region and beyond.
