100% Malbec

An approachable Malbec with rich fruit (although not over-extracted) and herbal notes. Plum, cherry, and blackberry, first hinted at on the nose, burst forth with enthusiasm on the palate, accompanied by hints of black tea. The tannins are smooth making this an all around very drinkable wine.

Malbec, although these days associated with Argentina, was originally grown in France. In fact, as far back as the 12th century, the British praised the "Black Wine of Cahors." The grape didn't make its way to Argentina until the mid-19th century.
