Pheasant's Tears was established by John Wurdeman and Gela Patalishvili in Sighnaghi, Kakheti, in 2007. They cultivate a total of 23 hectares of organic vineyards in various parts of Georgia. All wines are vinified in the traditional Georgian way with spontaneous fermentation and maturation in kvevri (amphoras).
